Michelle Obama on The Power of Storytelling

“Even when it’s not pretty or perfect. Even when it’s more real than you want it to be. Your story is what you have, what you will always have. It is something to own.” ― Michelle Obama

I could not have written this better myself, Michelle Obama!

Whether you’re an individual or a company, I believe we all have a story to tell. I also believe in owning and celebrating our stories. By owning, celebrating and telling our stories, we create opportunities for connection. We better understand and empathize with one another. We become stronger, more empowered. We also become more memorable.

This quote and the idea of owning your story is incredibly powerful – and a huge motivator for me, both personally and professionally.

Make this the day, the week, the year that you prioritize telling the stories that matter!
