Travel has always been a big passion of mine, personally and professionally. During a time when we cannot travel, I’m finally going through the many SD cards that I filled while traveling to teach myself how to edit and create travel videos for YouTube.

While I’m definitely not the best video editor, the process has already taught me so much. I’m often working with video editors and creatives, bringing amazing stories to life on video. By understanding more about “how the sausage is made,” it’s already improving how I craft stories, provide creative direction and feedback.

It’s also given me a HUGE appreciation for the work amazing video editors, producers and storytellers do. Whenever you get the opportunity to learn how things work firsthand and walk a few miles in someone else’s shoes…do it!
